ASIA STORIES
China has been in the news a lot recently with trade wars, the coronavirus epidemic and political disputes dominating the headlines. But China is far more complex than a market for our goods and services. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) presents Asia Stories to help us understand the very human challenges facing China and Asia. Our near neighbours with 4.6 billion population (China alone is 1.4 billion) deserve close attention.

HOBART | SUNDAY 17 MAY | 1.15PM
Billed as a “…fascinating true story about the love affair between socialite and author Vita Sackville-West and literary icon Virginia Woolf,” this film is a real polariser. It contrasts the strict code-based behaviour of the times (1920s) with the raunchy, licentious world of contemporary authors like Woolf (Elizabeth Debicki) and Sackville-West (Gemma Arterton).
