Tasmania has the worst economic and social indicators of any state of Australia. And why ? It might be because only one third of funds come from productive economic activity and two thirds of the expenditure goes on government salaries and outlays.
The answer lies in innovation, in celebrating innovators in every aspect of life.
The Innovative Tasmania Awards is an attempt to find and recognize those hidden innovators in everything from products, services, start ups, communities, government and the environment.
If you are an innovator or know of an innovator, who should be recognised, there are eleven categories in the Innovative Tasmania Awards. And it’s easy to enter - that’s an innovation in itself !

The prize is a two minute video vignette on your business which will be screened on Southern Cross TV during the news, which will give you exposure to > 50% of the Tasmanian viewing public. You can keep the vignette for your own publicity purposes as well.
Entry is only 120 words,a high resolution photo of the business or yourself and a maximum four page Powerpoint as extra information if you want.
