Whilst we love love love having a place-based festival in Launceston, we know that sometimes life gets in the way and you can’t always get to the party, which is why we’re extremely excited to be continuing our Online Festival for 2023, as well as bringing a series of other online screening events for you to enjoy throughout the year.

Audiences will get FREE access to enjoy Tasmanian Short Films in April AND the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in concert in June as a taster for the BOFA Launceston Film Festival (1-3 September)

We are also streaming the finalists of this year’s ‘Inspiring Change’ Short Film Competition completely for FREE through August. This means you’ll be able to vote for the People’s Choice with your awards presented alongside the judge’s winners’ awards at a ceremony on 2 September in Launceston.

BOFA Online is once again bringing you a FREE collection of stories that will have you on the edge of your set, laughing, crying and thinking about the times we live in. There will be Tassie stories, timeless stories and award-winning stories. So just grab your friends and family or settle in for a solo session of BOFA on the Sofa!
