This is a story about family, connected through land and community.

-Jeremy Sims

Way outback, on a remote West Australian farming flat, two grumpy brothers have enjoyed a decadeslong argument over who is the better sheep farmer. Superbly played by Sam Niell and Michael Caton, they belong to a disappearing generation of tough, independent Aussies that have absolute belief in themselves, and a deep loathing for any form of authority. They also love their sheep unequivocally, and harbour a deep and abiding grudge against each other. So when the local agricultural department declares both their farms as dangerously contagious, thanks to an outbreak of scrapie - old enmities and mutual anguish come equally to the fore. White beards bob furiously and elderly chests sag and heave as the brothers battle to save their herds from the passionless government culling teams. Filmed with astonishing empathy by Jeremy Sims, this film will warm you with its simplicity and charm. Based on the award-winning Icelandic film of the same name, this warming story of simple people battling to save their belief in the right way of things will have you cheering in the aisles. A woolly delight.
