In this full day session, learn how to use this competitive advantage to drive innovation in business, education, health and the community. Now is the time to fully embrace the digital economy. In a full day you will hear experts give their views and engage you in discussion:
- Industry leaders NOKIA, Hewlett Packard will share their experiences from around the world and paint the picture of how these opportunities can work for Launceston and the region.
- Start up and small business leaders will explain how we can unlock an additional $143 million of private sector output over the next ten years from better use of internet and mobile technology; approximately $46,300 per small business.
- International experts will explain how tele-health can improve patient care, save travel time and bring the best medical advice to you no matter where you live.
- Armidale Council and City of Launceston will tell us how they are implementing Smart City thinking to enhance service delivery, develop telework and utilise spatial mapping.
- Local group “Connected Launceston” led by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce and The Examiner newspaper will report back on opportunities identified by the community and set out the next steps for innovatively embracing our digital advantage.
