Take A Deep Dive Into BOFA Hobart

By May 27, 2021News

We started BOFA 2021 in Launceston in early May, we’ve offered free films online throughout May AND now we finish with a DEEP dive into BOFA Hobart from tomorrow 10am to Sunday 8pm.

There’s plenty of ways to enjoy BOFA Hobart. So, go on, take a deep dive into three days of festival films and fun.

Got kids? Well, check out Spread Your Wings, Stray or Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom. A great way to introduce a child or a grandchild to the delights of world cinema.

Member of a book club or group of close friends who love art? Then get along to At Eternity’s Gate or Vita and Virginia.

Want the world to be a better place, then check out Jane Goodall: The Hope, A Moment in the Sun or Rosemary’s Way.

Ardent feminist or LGTBQI? The Perfect Candidate, And Then We Danced and Two of Us are for you.

Getting older but still adventurous? Be inspired by The Mole Agent and Hillary: Ocean to Sky.

Love a wine? After watching Three Days of Glory you’ll be ready for a taste or two of world class wines. Places limited so register now at Hobart.

There’s movies aplenty to meet everyone’s taste so head to Films and circle the ones that suit you.

Come on. Take a deep dive into BOFA HOBART!

We asked short film makers who live in Tasmania, those who wish they lived here and those who wish they’d never left to tell us their favourite Stories of Tasmania. Then we asked YOU to choose your top three stories. And a tsunami of story lovers did just that.

This Saturday (29 May) at 5.30pm the judges AND your People’s Choice Awards will be presented at Sir Stanley Burbury Theatre, UTAS Sandy Bay Campus. And you are invited! Just book now and see if your favourites are the winners.

Oh, and there’s wine and a chance to chat too!

Three days to go, so if you haven’t seen all the top films on offer jump onto your SOFA and get into BOFA Online. It’s free by using the code

Note: Available for viewers in all states and territories of Australia ONLY. Geo-blocked for other countries.

Tens of thousands of viewers have had their breath taken away in our free Online Film Festival. We hope you were one.
But, we are still a long way from our funding target to cover our free online festival costs so we’d greatly appreciate YOUR help with any amount small or large.
