Tanya Hussey has been appointed Festival Manager for the 2016 Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival (BOFA), supporting the Festival Director, Owen Tilbury, in the planning and practical management of the 2016 BOFA Festival.

Tanya returns to her home in Launceston to take up the BOFA position after two years in Adelaide in several roles including Director of Sales for the newly opened Ibis Hotel Adelaide. She has more than 10 years experience in the tourism industry in Adelaide, Brisbane and in Launceston, where she was Business Development Manager for Sebel Launceston.

The new position will allow Tanya to develop her longstanding passion for community and arts culture.

BOFA has the potential to become an iconic arts event for Launceston, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that development,” she said.

My past community activity has included bringing Skywhale to Launceston, working as local co-ordinator for the Meet the Street campaign, and producing the Tasmanian Creative Culture booklet for the Regional Arts National Conference 2010 in Launceston.

I was drawn to BOFA’s emphasis on innovation and community development, and it’s great to be a part of the dynamic team working to make the 2016 BOFA Festival the best yet.
