ICONS OF TASMANIA

Pooley Wines

Three Generations, Two Vineyards, One Vision.

Established in 1985, Pooley Wines is Tasmania’s first and only third-generation family wine business. Pooley’s cellar door is in the heart of the Coal River, located in the stunning sandstone coach house at Belmont Lodge, a grand heritage-listed home built in 1832.

Pooley’s vineyards have built a reputation for the production and quality of cool-climate pinot noir, chardonnay and world-class riesling. Every decision made is in the pursuit of quality and capturing the vineyard in the bottle.

With in-depth tastings and platters available daily, as well as artisan wood-fired pizzas on weekends, Pooley is a must-visit cellar door in Southern Tasmania. Luxury accommodation and fine dining is also available across the road at the lovingly restored Prospect House Private Hotel. Pooley Wines was named Southern Tasmania’s Best Small Cellar Door as part of Australia’s Best Cellar Door Awards 2021 by Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine.

ICONS OF TASMANIA

BOFA Film Festival is proudly Tasmania’s film festival and we are understandably lovers of all things Tasmanian. So, this year we have picked the best wine, spirits and food producers, the best places to stay while you enjoy Tasmania, the best producers of artisanal and other products as well as the best providers of uniquely Tasmanian experiences.

We call them the Icons of Tasmania.
