In a first for BOFA we open in both Hobart and Launceston with fresh new Australian features. A home-grown Tassie product by Hobart writer/director, Ted Wilson and an off-the-wall Aussie comedy with writer/director, Heath Davis.
Opening the festival in Hobart on Friday 10th May is UNDER THE SHADOW OF CLOUD – “A minimal, modernist Australian masterpiece made with no money… The result is a miracle of a film, both strangely familiar and quite unlike any Australian movie I’ve seen”. Broadsheet.
And in Launceston on Thursday 16th May is BOOK WEEK – “It’s a lovely portrait piece and Book Week is nothing short of a cinematic page-turner”. FilmInk
